Question by Kurt Angle: Would this be a good draft for the Detroit Lions?
1st round
Calais Campbell (DE)
Why: He’s 6’8 280 pounds, he’s a FREAK!!! Rod Marinelli can’t pass on him he was a former defensive line coach!
2nd Round
Detroit trades Shaun Rogers for Miami’s 2008 2nd round and 2009 1st round draft picks. With the pick from Miami the Lions get Ali Highsmith (OLB)
Why: Ernie Sims is in like every tackle and with help from Ali Highsmith and Calais Campbell will be a BIG help.
With Detroit’s other pick in the 2nd round they get Tracy Porter or Jack Ikegwuonu (CB)
Why: Because their GOOD!
3rd Round
Steve Slaton (RB)
Why: Detroit needs help in the running game!
4th Round
Duke Robinson (OL)
Why: Detroit needs good blockers and he is a great one!
5th Round
Spencer Larson (MLB)
Why: He’ll complete the Lions Linebacker Corp!

No and No. As long as Matt Millen is GM, they will never get better because he always go for the best players, not ones they need like Offensive Lineman. If he was smart he would try to trade for 2 1st round picks (1 high, 1 in the middle) and get Jake Long and Sam Baker so they can FINALLY sort out that awful offensive line.
